Myron M. Mall
Myron is a Managing Director and co-founder of Delta Asset Management, established in 1989 along with Alex Conaway. He previously served as President of Commerce Capital Management, an investment subsidiary of National Commerce Bancorporation. Myron attended Washington University and Parsons College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the ABA National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Having served on numerous professional and civic boards throughout his career, he currently sits on the Board of the Bascom Art Center in Highlands, NC, and is a member of both the Executive and Finance Committees.
David C. Smith, CFA®, CFP®
David is a Managing Director of Delta Asset Management, where his responsibilities include equity research and financial planning. Previously, David was CFO of American Pacific and Senior Vice President in the Equity Capital Markets Group of Morgan Keegan. He is a CFA® charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. David holds a BBA, MBA (Finance) from the University of Memphis and is a member of the CFA® Institute.
Alan Catmur
Alan is a Senior Vice President at Delta Asset Management. Prior to joining Delta in December, 2000, he was President and Chief Investment Officer at Commerce Capital Management, the investment advisory subsidiary of National Bank of Commerce (now Truist) in Memphis. He began his investment career at Morgan Keegan in 1981 as an equity research analyst. He also worked as a financial advisor at Morgan Keegan and Robinson Humphrey. Prior to entering the investment field, he was Assistant Treasurer and Planning Coordinator at First Tennessee National Corporation (now First Horizon). Alan graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in History and Economics. He also has a MBA from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Finance.
Chris C. Jones, CFA®
Chris is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Delta Asset Management. He specializes in managing investment portfolios, working closely with clients to understand their unique financial goals and developing tailored strategies to achieve these objectives. Since joining Delta in 2006 as a Research Analyst, Chris has played an important role in shaping the firm's investment strategy and oversees taxable bonds. He is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA® Society of Memphis. Prior to Delta, he was a Research Analyst at Morgan Keegan and First Tennessee National Corporation. Chris holds a BBA in Finance from Mississippi State University.
Brandon Byrd, CFP®
Brandon joined the firm in 2021 as a Portfolio Manager. Before joining Delta, he worked in both Fixed Income Sales and Municipal Credit Strategies at FHN Financial. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Brandon has a BBA (Managerial Finance) from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from the University of Memphis.
Preston Daniel
Preston is a Research Analyst at Delta Asset Management, where he supports the firm’s investment team through equity research, financial modeling, and client reporting. His work contributes to the development of investment strategies and portfolio insights, helping ensure that Delta’s recommendations are grounded in rigorous analysis and timely market intelligence. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University, where he also competed as a student-athlete on the football team. During his time at FSU, Preston also served on several leadership and advisory councils, demonstrating a strong commitment to teamwork, discipline, and service—qualities that continue to shape his professional approach here at Delta.
Dana C. Maury
Dana is Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Operations at Delta Asset Management, where she has served since 2021. In her dual role, she oversees the firm’s regulatory compliance framework and operational infrastructure, ensuring that all policies and procedures are consistently implemented, monitored, and refined to meet evolving industry standards. Dana plays a key role in audit preparation, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, helping to align Delta’s strategic goals with its fiduciary responsibilities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union University and brings more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Her career began at the National Bank of Commerce and has spanned a variety of leadership positions within banking and investment advisory firms, where she developed deep expertise in compliance, operations, and client service.
Sandra Dawson
Sandra is a Client Service Manager at Delta Asset Management, where she has been a trusted member of the team since 2006. With over thirty-five years of experience in banking and investment services, she brings a deep well of institutional knowledge, client care expertise, and operational insight to her role. Prior to joining Delta, Sandra worked in the Trust Department at SunTrust Bank, where she developed a strong foundation in fiduciary services and relationship management. Sandra’s consistent presence and wholehearted dedication have made her an indispensable part of the client service team, contributing meaningfully to the firm’s culture of integrity and personalized care.
Amy M. Kirshbaum
Amy is a Client Services Manager at Delta Asset Management, where she joined the team in 2023. In her role, she is responsible for maintaining and optimizing Delta’s portfolio accounting and CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency across client accounts. Amy also leads the onboarding process for new clients, working closely with custodians and internal teams to deliver a seamless experience. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brandeis University and brings over a decade of experience in consulting and sales & marketing management. Her collaborative work with Delta’s portfolio managers supports both day-to-day service needs and long-term relationship growth, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to personalized, high-touch client care. She is valued for her proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and her ability to align internal systems with the personalized service clients expect and deserve.
In Memory of Edward T. Taylor, II
Our colleague, Edward Taylor, passed away on November 6, 2024, from complications of ALS. He was a treasured part of the Delta team, admired for his sense of humor, unwavering commitment to his clients, professionalism, and kindness. Edward joined the Delta team in 1996, and his dedication and passion played an important role in Delta's development and success. He built strong, lasting relationships with his clients, always providing support, expert counsel, and friendship.
Beyond his professional achievements, Edward was a cherished friend to all of us at Delta. His positive spirit, enthusiasm, and steadfast support for our team left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him. Edward will be deeply missed, and we are forever grateful for the time we shared with him and the memories we created together.
